This time we’re heading south to the “White City” of Arequipa in the region of….AREQUIPA! After Lima, Arequipa is the most famous culinary region of Peru. The city of Arequipa is known as the white city because many of its colonial era buildings are made from sparkling white volcanic stone called sillar.
The local cuisine is hearty, rustic, and spicy. It features chiles, herbs, and other ingredients unique to this part of Peru. Outside of Peru, it’s very difficult to find this vibrant regional cuisine, which is why I thought it high time to introduce you to “la cocina arequipeña.”
On April 4th, I’l be serving up a 4-course dinner that celebrates the culinary traditions of Arequipa!
Dinner will be served in courses.
Cost is $40 per person paid in advance.
Space is limited to 6 people.
Doors open at 6:45 PM. Dinner will be served at 7:15 PM.
